Terms of service
Last updated October 12, 2026
Draft: this page is being reviewed and may change.
These terms are an agreement between you and IAPZ Technology Inc. ("IAPZ", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use our website, iapz.com, or the IAPZ apps at app.iapz.com, including IAPZ Cashflow (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.
If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Our website and our services
Our website describes IAPZ Technology Inc., our services (custom web applications, 3D printing, data management and AI integration), our portfolio, and the IAPZ apps.
- Information on the website is general. It isn't an offer, quote or contract.
- Work we do for you (such as building a website or application, 3D printing, or data work) is covered by a separate written agreement or quote between you and us. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement wins for that work.
- Portfolio projects are shown with permission, and their clients aren't named unless they agree.
2. Who can use the IAPZ apps
- You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher.
- For now, the IAPZ apps are by invitation: we create accounts for the people we invite. Public sign-up, plans and prices will come later, with terms for them added here before they start.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- If you use the apps for a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that business.
3. Your account
- Keep your password and two-step codes safe, and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us right away through our contact form if you think your account has been used without permission.
4. Rules for everyone
You must not:
- use the Service for anything illegal, or to harm anyone;
- send spam, or false or misleading information, through our contact form or the apps;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or get around the Service's security or limits;
- copy, scrape or overload the Service, or interfere with how it works.
5. IAPZ Cashflow
IAPZ Cashflow forecasts your account balances from the transactions you enter or import.
- Your numbers, your decisions. Forecasts, balances and warnings are worked out from the information you enter, and are only as accurate as that information. They're tools to help you plan, not financial, accounting, tax or investment advice. You're responsible for your decisions, and for checking anything important against your bank and other records.
- Exchange rates come from the Bank of Canada, or the rates you choose, and may not be the rate your bank uses on a given day.
- Imports are checked before anything is saved, but you're responsible for reviewing what you import.
- Your records are yours. They're private to your account. See Section 3 of our Privacy policy.
- The apps are still being built. Features may change, be added or be removed, and some may not work perfectly. Please keep your own copy of anything critical, and tell us about problems through our contact form.
6. Your content
"Your content" means anything you add to the Service, such as your Cashflow records and the messages you send us.
- You keep ownership of your content.
- You give us permission to store, copy and process your content only as needed to provide the Service to you and to respond to you.
- We don't use your content for marketing or to train AI models, and we don't share it except as our Privacy policy describes.
7. Our content and name
The IAPZ name and logo, our website, its text and pictures, and our software belong to IAPZ Technology Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy or use them without our permission, except to share links to our pages. Portfolio screenshots belong to their projects' owners and are shown with permission.
8. Other services
The Service uses and links to services run by others (for example, Google sign-in, and the websites in our portfolio). Their own terms apply, and we're not responsible for them.
9. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can ask us to close your account at any time through our contact form.
- We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if required by law, or to protect users or the Service. We'll usually explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider within 30 days.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that information on it is complete or accurate.
Some places don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
11. Limits on liability
To the extent allowed by law:
- IAPZ is not liable for decisions you make based on the Service, including financial decisions based on IAPZ Cashflow forecasts;
- IAPZ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or lost profits, data or business;
- IAPZ's total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid IAPZ for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Liability for work we do for you under a separate agreement (Section 1) is set by that agreement.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. Disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, unless consumer protection laws where you live give you the right to use your local courts.
(Lawyer to confirm the approach for US users and Quebec consumers.)
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for important changes, tell account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept them. If you don't agree, you can ask us to close your account.
14. Other terms
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right, we haven't given it up.
- You may not transfer your account or these terms without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
