IAPZ Cashflow
LiveOur own cashflow forecast. Every account's balance on any day ahead, built from the income, bills and transfers you expect, so a shortfall shows up weeks before it happens.

The project
Most budgeting apps look back at what you spent. IAPZ Cashflow looks ahead. You enter the money you expect, your pay, rent, bills, card payments and transfers, once, as repeating rules, and it works out every account's balance on every day to come.
That turns "can we afford it?" into a date. Move a bill, switch a payment off to see what happens, or add a one-off purchase, and the forecast redraws straight away. If an account is heading below zero, it says so before it happens, not after.
It started as a replacement for the spreadsheet and Buxfer setup we used ourselves, so moving over had to be painless: the importer reads a Buxfer export or a bank's file, matches its columns, shows exactly what it will bring in, and can undo it afterwards. It's now part of the IAPZ app (see Apps).
What we built
- A forecast across every account, including other currencies, with today's exchange rates
- Repeating income and bills that store a rule, with any single occurrence changed on its own
- Anything switched off to try a "what if" without deleting it
- Warnings before an account drops below zero, and overdue items kept in view until they're dealt with
- An overview, a transactions list with the balance after each, and a calendar
- An importer for Buxfer, bank exports and spreadsheets, with a check before anything is saved and an undo after
- Phone and computer layouts, and the same controls in the same place on every screen
